Both are moisture resistant. BWR — boiling water resistant — handles the humidity and routine splashes of a normal kitchen. BWP is boiling water proof and holds up under sustained exposure, which is why we specify it under sinks and in wet zones.
For anything near water, plywood. MDF is smooth, stable and excellent for painted shutters and wall panelling, but once moisture reaches the core it swells permanently. We keep it out of kitchen base units entirely.
We specify established soft-close hinge and channel systems with a documented cycle rating rather than unbranded hardware. The specific brand appears on your quote, so you can look it up before you approve anything.
Yes — core grade, shutter finish and hardware are itemised by name. A quote that only says 'premium materials' is a quote nobody can be held to.
